“The Smart Pension, a London-based financial technology company, has been eyeing an expansion into the U.S., and they just announced they’ve picked Chicago as the place to do it.

The company announced this week that it will open its U.S. headquarters in the West Loop this fall with plans to hire for 20 to 30 jobs to start. The company chose Chicago out of a selection of cities that included New York, Boston, Atlanta and San Francisco. The city’s ease of access from the U.K. via O’Hare International Airport, coupled with a vibrant tech scene, gave Chicago the edge and made it the ideal location for The Smart Pension to launch its U.S. expansion, said Dan McLaughlin, The Smart Pension’s international director.” Read More
